Installation

 Mounting the Control Board

The control board is required to be screwed onto a flat surface, allowing adequate access to 3 sides for cabling and connections.

The dimensions are 180mm (W) x 105mm (H) x 27mm (D)

The control board requires the following connections:

Powering the Unit

Please connect the unit to a 12v or 24v power supply to the terminals marked +/-. Our device has a built in 2A fuse pulls 0.1 - 0.3A @12v while in operation.

SavvyVan3 Switching

Our device is capable of both positive OR negative switching up to 10A per switch. Please note: Do not connect both the Pos + and Neg - to a relay as this will damage the device

Positive Switching

To switch the positive line, please ensure each circuit is adequately fused. SavvyVan3 has no fusing on the switched circuits.

As described in the picture, please connect your appliance directly to ground. The positive from the battery goes via a fuse and into the COM terminal of the desired switch.

For standard operation, please connect your appliance POS + the NO terminal. This will mean your appliance is OFF by default and you will switch it ON via our unit.

If you require your appliance to be ON by default and our device turns your appliance OFF, then connect your appliance to NC

Negative Switching

To switch the Negative line, please ensure the positive circuit is adequately fused. SavvyVan3 has no fusing on the switched circuits.

As described in the picture, please connect your appliance Pos + via  fuse to your battery. The Neg - from the battery goes into the COM terminal of the desired switch.

For standard operation, please connect your appliance Neg - to the NO terminal. This will mean your appliance is OFF by default and you will switch it ON via our unit.

If you require your appliance to be ON by default and our device turns your appliance OFF, then connect your appliance to NC

Temperature Sensors

To connect the supplied temperature sensor, please use the screw terminals in the section marked ''°C". Marry up the colours of the cables as below:

BLK = Black

YEL = Yellow

RED = Red

If mounting internally, please use the supplied mount for your sensor and ensure its mounted in a sport with even temperature.

Multiple Temperatures can be read by the port at the same time. Additional sensors can be purchased from our shop

Mounting the Touch Screen

For the best result with our device, please mount your touch screen directly on a hard surface using the supplied VHB high temperature resistant tape.

Please note: The screens are designed to stay on. Once it on, its on! The screen will break if you attempt to remove it which is not covered by warranty

5 Inch Version

Mounting the 5" screen is a smaller screen offering the same functionality as the larger option. Due to its small size the only mounting option for this is the adhesive tape applied to the rear.

7 Inch Version

Mounting the 7" screen is achievable in 3 ways. We would recommend the adhesive as this will show the product as a very low profile device. Additional options are to use the option mounting plate which can be ether screwed or bolted on.

Please note: the only option which will allow fo the screen to be removed later is the bolted option detailed below.

High Current Relays

Should your appliances require more then 10a 30v, then an additional high current relay can be used. To use this, you will need to connect the high current relay switching circuit via the SavvyVan switch. Please follow the manufactures instructions to wire up your additional relay.
