Testing Your Unit

Prior to full installation, please test your unit by connecting it to a 12v supply. Should you find any fault with your unit, please immediately contact support@savvyvan.co.uk prior to installation

Installation

Cutting

The device is required to be installed recessed into a wall/box and will require a minimum depth of 40mm. A hole will need to be cut measuring up to (H)105mm x (W)180mm.

Once you have decided on a location for your unit and ensured there is at least 40mm of clearance, please measure your device and cut an appropriate hole. Depending on your van build, you can either mount this from the front or rear mount the device for a reduced profile. Please be aware, the supplied surround is for front mounting only. For a rear mounted device you will need to create your own surround.

Our supplied surround measures (H)130mm x (W)195mm x (D)9mm

Connecting Appliances

Connect the live feed for your appliances to your 12v supply via a fuse box. Connect the Negative to your Ground bus bar via SavvyVan, this will then provide accurate negative switching of your appliances. Note: Labels K1-8 is relevant to the position on the SavvyVan Interface. K1 = Tile1, K2 = Tile 2 etc.

High Current Relays

Should your appliances require more then 10a 30v, then an additional high current relay can be used. To use this, you will need to connect the new high current relay switching circuit via the SavvyVan switch. Please follow the manufactures instructions to wire up your additional relay.

Device Power

Connect the wires from the rear of the unit labeled 'Power' to a 3A fused 12v live feed.  Connect the wires labeled 'Voltage' directly to the battery terminals via a 2A in-line fuse for the most accurate Battery reading. The unit will immediately start up once power is supplied. It is recommended that you do not insert the fuse until all connections have been made and the unit is secured.
